The PowerOLAP Ribbon is located directly below the Title Bar. It provides quick access to commonly used PowerOLAP functions and tasks. It consists of Five tabs: Home, Model, Slice, Data and Tools.
The Ribbon interface displays different PowerOLAP commands in logical groupings by Tabs and per control group. The Ribbon commands will be grayed out if the corresponding feature is either not applicable to the current database or active window, or if the corresponding component tool is not supported by your license. By hovering your mouse pointer over the command buttons, you will be provided with descriptions of the corresponding command function. The Ribbon can be shown or hidden simply by clicking on the Hide/Show Ribbon button, located at the upper right-hand pane of the PowerOLAP interface.
Note that the four save buttons—Save Database and Save Database As (under File Command) and Save Slice and Save Slice As (under Slice tab)—have subtle functional differences for user convenience.

Copies the contents of the left-most data points/cells of a selected range into the cells to the right. |
OPTIONS |
Allows
users to create a graphical representation of their slice data. |
A slice feature that allows users to limit the data that will be brought into the slice, by defining certain restrictions or limitations, to omit irrelevant or unnecessary data from a slice view. Users can define specific row or column constraints. |
A feature that enables users to view the detail values that comprise a particular cell value. |
WORKSHEET |
Creates an Excel worksheet out of a PowerOLAP slice. This drops down to five different slice to Excel worksheet outputs: (1)OLAPTable, (2)OLAPReadWrite, (3)OLAPPivot, (4)OLAPWriteTable and a (5)Values only Worksheet.
The first four options are the different Excel connection types that have dynamic connection with the PowerOLAP database and have different manners of data retrieval and updating.
The last option merely exports the values of slices into Excel and does not provide dynamic connection with PowerOLAP. |
Recalculates or refreshes the values in a slice view.
Equivalent to F9. |
WINDOW |
Arranges windows/slices in such a way that they overlap each other. |
