Requirements and Recommendations

This manual assumes that you are familiar with using PowerOLAP^®, and that you are familiar with the basic operation of PowerOLAP^® – MDB Server.

Often in this manual, reference is made to PowerOLAP^® and SQL Server because this manual demonstrates OLAP

Exchange^® by using PowerOLAP^® with Microsoft SQL Server . Thus, to follow the demonstration steps in the manual, in addition to the minimum requirements for running PowerOLAP^®, you should:

• Have a basic understanding of working with SQL Server.
• Follow the configuration guidelines set up by Microsoft for SQL Server for the machine running SQL Server.
