Just as with the installation of the client version, we'll first describe removing the existing version of the MDB Server. If you do not have the Server installed, proceed to the next section.
Important
IMPORTANT PREPARATION: Make sure no users are connected—you can view users in the PowerOLAP®
Service Control Program.
Stop the PowerOLAP® Server Service:
1. From the Windows Start button, select Programs, PowerOLAP, PowerOLAP Service Control Program.
The PowerOLAP Server Control Program window appears, as in the figure below
2. Select a server and click the Stop
button.
As in the example the PARIS server was selected.
Note that the Service Status now says Stopped, and available databases disappear from view.
Your next step is to remove the software.
3. Access the Control Panel window and double-click on the Add or Remove Programs icon.
4. In the next list box, click on PowerOLAP Server.
5. Click the Change/Remove button. The PowerOLAP Server - InstallShield Wizard appears.
6. Click on the Remove radio button.
7. Click Next. A message box will prompt the screen and ask you to confirm deletion of selected application.
8. Click Yes. This completes the uninstall.
9. Restart your computer.
