Define Member Options

We can now explore the options available in the Define Member dialog box.

[NOTE that if you are using these options in the initial creation of a Cube—rather than in the process of Modifying a Relational Dimension—you should ignore the instructions to first access the Modify Relational Dimension feature. In other words, skip to the section headings Allow Duplicates, Define Rollups, etc.]

Once again, a detail figure of those options, from the Define Member dialog box, is shown below:

1.   To reach the Define Member dialog box, from the PowerOLAP ribbon, go to Data tab then in the OLAP Exchange control group select Modify Relational Dimension command.

2.   In the Modify Dimension from Relational Source dialog box, select a Dimension; for demonstration purposes, select Customers; then click OK.

3.   Click OK in the message box to proceed with modifying the Dimension, shown below refer to image in the succeeding topic.
