Seeing Results in PowerOLAP® (.olp file)

With the Dimensions you have defined in the preceding steps—in our example, Measures, Products and Customers—you can now finalize the creation of the PowerOLAP cube.

To complete OLAP Exchange cube creation:

1.   Click OK.

A message box entitled 'Working' will appear on screen whilst OLAP Exchange^® synchronizes the data from the underlying relational database with the newly created Cube.

When the synchronization process is completed, you will receive a message that indicates how many multidimensional data points have been created in the PowerOLAP cube.

If there are any ERRORS in transferring data, the dialog box will indicate how many data points could not be transferred to PowerOLAP^®.

Log files for Meta Data and Fact Data errors will be created (named, successively, POMetaDataUpdate_[Cubename] and POFactDataUpdate_[Cubename]). Refer to Section on Administrator Topics, Error File Reporting.

2.   Click OK.

You are now at the familiar PowerOLAP application interface.
